What the site itself keeps

Nothing. There are no accounts, no forms, no comments and no advertising. The pages and data files are the same for every visitor.

Google Analytics

Visits are measured with Google Analytics 4. On every page it records the page viewed, the referring page, the browser, device and screen size, and an approximate location derived from the IP address. Google states that GA4 does not store the IP address itself. It sets two first-party cookies, _ga and _ga_T66TCJHMMX, that tell repeat visits apart; they expire after two years. The cookies are set on your first page view: this site shows no consent banner.

Google Signals

Google Signals is enabled. If you are signed in to a Google account and have ad personalisation turned on, Google links your visits to that account, which lets the reports count one person across devices and show aggregate age, gender and interest groups. The reports shown to this site are aggregated; they identify no individual. Google processes this data under its privacy policy.

Opting out

Turning off ad personalisation in My Ad Center stops the Signals link. The Google Analytics opt-out add-on stops Analytics altogether, as does blocking cookies or scripts from Google in your browser. The site works the same either way.

Hosting

The site is served by Vercel, whose servers log each request — including the IP address and browser — to deliver and protect it. Those logs are Vercel's, not this site's.
